Yuan Ming, Dean read bio
Yuan Ming is Professor in Peking University’s School of International Studies, and serves as an Associate Dean of Peking University’s Institute of International and Strategic Studies and Director of its Center for American Studies. She was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley and the University of Oxford, and conducted research at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Brookings Institution. Professor Yuan frequently speaks at international forums, such as the World Economic Forum or Club of Rome. Professor Yuan was a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference from 1998 to 2012, as well as of its Foreign Relations Committee. In addition, Professor Yuan has served on the boards of numerous high-profile institutions, such as the Council on Foreign Relations and the United Nations Foundation.
Cai Hongbin, Associate Dean read bio
Cai Hongbin is a Professor of Economics and Dean of the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. Professor Cai has published extensively on topics such as game theory, industrial organization, corporate finance, and Chinese economy. He was named a National Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education of China, and a National Outstanding Young Researcher by the National Science Foundation of China. Professor Cai is also a member of the National People’s Congress.
John L. Holden, Associate Dean read bio
John L. Holden is a nonresident senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has been President of the National Committee on United States' China Relations, and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce, Beijing. He serves as advisor to Vermilion Partners, Ltd. as well as a number of philanthropic and educational organizations.
Wang Bo, Associate Dean read bio
Bo Wang is a Professor of Philosophy and Head of the Department of Philosophy, Peking University. He also serves as the Director of the Office of Humanities and Social Science Research at Peking University. He was a visiting scholar at the Harvard-Yenching Institute, and was selected a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education of China. His scholarly interests include history of Chinese philosophy and classical Chinese philosophy.
Jiang Guohua, Associate Dean read bio
Guohua Jiang is a Professor of Accounting at the Guanghua School of Management, and an Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Peking University. His papers on finance and accounting appeared in a number of influential academic journals. He is an academic advisor to the Global Valuation Institute of KPMG International, and an independent director at China Datang International Power Generation Co., LTD, and China CITIC Trust, among others.
Lu Yang, Director of Graduate Studies read bio
Lu Yang is a faculty member of the Department of History, Peking University. He is interested in pre-modern Chinese history, the history of medieval Chinese religions, and comparative historiography. Previously, he taught at Princeton University and was a visiting faculty member at Harvard University and at Renmin University of China. He has appeared as a featured guest in several BBC and National Geographic documentaries on Chinese history, and co-edited Early Medieval China: A Sourcebook (Columbia University Press, 2014), which was selected by Choice Magazine as one of the Outstanding Academic Titles of 2014.
